The computerization project for Excise Department was approved by the Department of Finance, Government of Rajasthan in May 2002. The practical implementation was started in the month of Oct, 03 onwards. The main aims and objectives are as given below:
1.	To systemize the existing record keeping procedure.
2.	To improve the quality of the information system generated by district level offices.
3.	Speed & Accuracy of data received.
4.	To Keep Check on Stock of excisable goods (like Liquor, LPH, Bhang etc.)
5.	To get better results in terms of productivity, revenue collection.
6.	To generate MIS report in respect of EPA, Stocks etc.
7.	To update Personal information system.
8.	Day to day communication through E-mail.
