The Excise Department issues various types of licenses including the
Occasional License for Miscellaneous Category of Licensing:-
Licenses can be granted for occasional sale or possession (beyond the permissible
limits) of IMFL or beer on occasions like marriage, birthday, new years eve etc.
Such license can be obtained from District Excise Officer or Excise Inspector concerned.
According to New Excise Policy 2004-05, person possessing Occasional License can
buy Drought Beer in bulk directly from brewery itself.
