excise offices is to generate permits for
various excisable goods and to collect revenue
against this. |

data is generated on online basis. |

Presently the software is being accessed
by about 100 locations spread over whole Rajasthan.

All the District Excise Offices are generating
all kinds of permits (liquor (IMFL, Country
Liquor, Foreign Liquor)/ Beer / Bhang/ LPH,
Molasses / Spirit) online. No manual work
is done in this case. |

All reports are generated daily through
software which is being maintained at H.Q.
Udaipur. |

All manufacturing units (Distilleries /
Breweries / Bonded Warehouse) situated in
Rajasthan are generating Transport permits
through software only and lined with HQ and
Zonal Offices. |

All liquor wholesales of licensees are feeding
wholesale to Retail bill through software
on regular basis. |
| 8. |
All the zonal / district offices are using
departmental E-mail service (hosted on web
server) for information transfer. |
| 9. |
All district offices are feeding personal
information of officers and staff posted in
their respective offices. |

This has thus boosted the work efficiency
of the department functioning. |

Excise Department is one of the few departments
which is fully computerized and 80% of our
work is done through computers. |
| 12. |
20% of our manpower including officials
have been given training. Our target is to
have more than 50% of our staff Computer Literate.
